Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using askii.party ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

Description of Service

askii.party is a platform for creating, sharing, and discovering ASCII art. We provide tools for generating ASCII art and a community space for sharing creations.

User Accounts

To access certain features of our service, you must create an account through Discord OAuth.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must be at least 13 years old to use our service
• You must be at least 18 years old to access NSFW content

Content Guidelines

You are responsible for the content you post on our platform. All content must comply with our community guidelines:

• No illegal content or activities
• No harassment or hate speech
• No spam or misleading content
• NSFW content must be properly tagged
• Respect copyright and intellectual property rights

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create and post on our platform. By posting content, you grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote your content on our service.

Developer API

We offer a developer API (/api/v1/*) for programmatic access to public ASCII art content, available to any signed-in user via a free API key. This API is currently offered free of charge while we gauge developer interest.

• Access is provided as-is and subject to rate limits we may adjust at any time
• We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue the API, or begin charging for it, at any time without notice
• We may revoke any API key at our discretion, including for abuse or excessive use
• The API never exposes NSFW content or content from anonymous posts, regardless of who holds the key
• Data retrieved through the API remains subject to the Content Ownership terms above

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
